I filled it with one eyedropper of Waterman Florida Blue (with the tail closed). When I open it one turn I get blobbing from the tip of the nib. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. It actually NOT safe for any urushi lacquered (metal or ebonite) sections, resin/metal section are fine. Though I leave them out for a few hours to dry completely, before use/storage. My dealer told me especially on the maki-e emperors to stick with just water when possible, the maki-e is tough stuff but still more succeptible to other substances, so stick with wiping with a soft cloth after every use or damp cloth then dry cloth to deal with an ink spillage.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6725670771198605827.post-18891957502546646682020-11-08T09:42:20.174+05:302020-11-08T09:42:20.174+05:30Excellent review. Currently I use the SAILOR KOP IN BLACK EBONITE WITH RHODIUM TRIM, NAGINATA TOGI BROAD GROUND TO AN ARCHITECTS POINT. I use it as a daily writer AND fill it up two or three times a day, I carry Visconti ink wells for refilling and see this as my answer to long writing sessions. This vermillion red is intoxicating in photos I can hardly wait to see it in person.
